Welcome to the website of British Riding Clubs Area 4!

The Area covers from North Yorkshire down to South and West Yorkshire and is one of the largest Areas incorporating 23 affiliated Riding Clubs. The Area is run by a panel of elected officials who are themselves club members from the Area.

 Each club around the area occasionally organises clinics and demos featuring well known riders, there are a couple of very good ones coming up soon including Carl Hester and Oliver Townend. Check out the News and Events page for further details.

The officials organise, with the assistance of member clubs, at least four events throughout the year, a Showjumping competition, a Hunter Trial, Horse Trials and an Area Show. The team of officials work on behalf of the clubs to organise these events which are all qualifiers for National Championships. Many teams within Area 4 have been successful at National level and we are proud to have those clubs within our Area. Riding Club level is very much ‘grass roots’, many club members start their competitive lives off at their own local events and with the support, tuition and advice of their clubs have gone on to compete at National level. Everyone has to start somewhere and Riding Clubs provide an excellent grounding from Clear Round jumping through to budding professional Showjumpers!!
